Banana beach
Welcome to Banana Beach. This is Skiathos’ ‘party beach’ and dance music blares at conversation-stopping levels from both the eponymous Banana Beach Bar and the nearby Bananarama.
Banana Beach also takes things to extremes in the area of sunbed density. This is the venue for most beach nightlife on the island, and if you visit during the day you will also have to subscribe to the party ethos if you are to enjoy yourself.
A path leads on from Banana Beach to Skiathos’ naturist beach, the unkindly named Little Banana. It is also popular with gay and lesbian sunbathers.
