Agia Paraskevi
At bus stop 16 is Agia Paraskevi beach (Blue Flag), also known as Platanias. This is also a very popular tourist beach, with a large stretch of sand, although it’s not a favourite of mine. The area around Paraskevi is probably the second largest cluster of accommodation and tavernas behind Skiathos Town (see restaurants for more details). Providing meals and drinks on the beach front is the taverna Pr. Ammos (attached to the Skiathos Princess hotel), with cushions for seating outside. Watersports are offered in two locations.
A tiny beach can be accessed by walking down the unsigned path a couple of minutes west of bus stop 17. Follow the path for 10 minutes as it turns past villas, and eventually you will reach steps down to the quiet cove. It is an unspoiled beach whose rocks make it good for snorkelling. There is no taverna or facilities.
