Beaches on the south coast
Skiathos’s south coast includes many long, sheltered stretches of sand, which tick all the boxes required of a textbook holiday beach. Many have been awarded the Blue Flag and whether you have your own transport or not, they are readily accessible due to the bus which stops 26 times along the main coastal road.
My own favourites are Megali Ammos, Kanapitsa, and Koukounaries. I am not such a fan, relatively speaking, of Achliades, Troulos, or Agia Paraskevi, despite their popularity with many tourists. (But then, Skiathos does encourage you to judge by very high standards.)

Skiathos beaches
In general, the south coast beaches are highly developed, with watersports, sunbeds, tavernas and bars, and sometimes loud music. You may find these features either appealing or off-putting, but the beaches themselves are so good that their quality shines through, and so easy to get to that it is worth visiting a few during your stay.
