Snorkelling and diving
It would be a real missed opportunity not to snorkel or dive in the beautifully clear waters surrounding Skiathos. An excellent option is to go on a guided snorkelling trip. Skiathos Diving Centre (based on Akropolis – turn left at the top of Papadiamantis, also a hut on Koukounaries) run ½ day snorkelling trips for 25 Euros, or a full day’s trip (55 Euros) which typically stops at inaccessible beaches on the island and on the Arkos and Tsougria islands offshore.

The company also run beginner’s dives, as do the other diving centres: Dolphin Diving Centre (based on Tzaneria beach) and Octopus Diving Centre (look for the boat on the new port).
